About Our Pastor – Father Justin Le

Beginning July 1, 2011, Bishop Patrick J. McGrath appointed Father Justin Tuong Le as Pastor at St. Elizabeth’s Parish in Milpitas. Born August 7, 1972, in Tân Định’s Parish, Saigon, Vietnam, he's the youngest of seven children. His parents are John Tam Le and Mary Tran, both now living in Campbell, California. He attended grade school and was then home schooled in Saigon before immigrating to the United States with his family at the age of 17.

Father Justin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University, a Bachelor of Sacred Theology (S.T.B.) Degree from Saint Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore, a Masters Degree in Theology and a Masters Degree in Divinity from Saint Patrick’s Seminary and University.

After five years of working in the high-tech corporate world as a Financial Analyst, Father Justin began his journey of discernment to the priesthood, entering the seminary and eventually graduating from Saint Patrick’s Seminary in Menlo Park in 2009. He was ordained a priest by Bishop Patrick McGrath on May 23, 2009 for the Diocese of San Jose. After ordination, he was assigned to Saint Mary’s Parish in Los Gatos, serving as the Parochial Vicar. He has also served within various diocesan organizations as chaplain of the Catholic Professionals Club, and member of the Ad-hoc Priestly Life Committee. His priestly motto is “Struck root among the glorious people.” (Sirach 24:12). His priestly mission, he believes, is not to do something entirely new, but to continue what was begun by Christ and sustained by priests through many generations, rooted in faith among God’s people.
